Heaven’s Real Time Scorecard Of Us This Week?

"In prayer you shall perceive ... the way out of every situation that has no exit."

"Do novenas of fasting and renunciation so that satan be far from you and grace be around you"                                                                                                             -  Medjugorje July 25, 2005

Earlier this week, the most studied New Testament passage in the world was from Revelation 3. As this passage was obviously one on the mind of the Spirit given its focus from believers, it struck us that it is prudent and appropriate to consider this a real-time scorecard of the church today, especially as so many believers feel like we have entered the times of Revelation whether these times take a few years or decades to fully play out:

1"And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: `The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. "`I know your works; you have the name of being alive, and you are dead. 2Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death, for I have not found your works perfect in the sight of my God. 3Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you. 4Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy.5He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. 6He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'14"And to the angel of the church in La-odice'a write: `The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. 15"`I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! 16So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. 17For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. 19Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

We think this is certainly speaking to the Catholic church today and Christianity more broadly in many cases … the seven spirits and seven stars (seven sacraments?) but then the unmistakable assessment of where we are today:

`I know your works; you have the name of being alive (Jesus!), and you are dead.

… how apt is that description of the imploded church!

2Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death,

… yes the "remnant", to who and what remains – an exhortation of the shambles from death’s doorstep:

for I have not found your works perfect in the sight of my God.

… a conviction, not condemnation, from Heaven – we are falling short of God’s expectations given all that we have been blessed with!

3 Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent.

… yet then the antidote to our demise offers great hope. All that is needed is to go back to our fundamental teachings and REPENT.

The need to repent.

The first teaching of Jesus. And John the Baptist. And Paul. And Peter. … that is not a coincidence. And this comes at a time when protestant brothers in particular are downplaying if not outright avoiding the primacy of repentance. And to our dear protestant brothers who are relying totally upon grace and not simultaneously actively cultivating an awareness of the import of turning from sin we have a word of severe caution that should send a shiver through your spines:

You are behaving and teaching like the Catholic bishops in this regard!

If that doesn’t put the fear of God into a protestant, perhaps nothing will – to be compared to a Catholic bishop … and it is a true similarity as Catholic bishops refuse to lead in repentance.

And then –

If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you…

… reminiscent of Luke 12 where Jesus says His servant will not be condemned to hell … but will receive a severe beating for knowing what God wanted but living in denial, covering one’s eyes to the truth, lying to oneself that in the future we’ll reform, just not now. There certainly appears to be some mechanism in Heaven’s plan for fairness. Regarldess, the word is an undeniable exhortation to repent. And of course the warning to believers who live a lukewarm (think politically correct) life:

because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth

… followed by promise of sharing His throne and then the closing guidance

hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

… listen yourself to what the Spirit is whispering to you.

Thank you for fasting with us today as first century Christians said we are obligated to do each Wednesday and Friday.

We have a major insight to share with you about Wednesday and Friday fasting that is news to us – We have never known of this revelation until one of you brought it to our attention this week.  Suffice it to say it is yet another major confirmation Wednesday and Friday fasting are expected of believers.

However … as we lead into next week and the wonderful American tradition of Thanksgiving, our plan is to fast Tuesday and Wednesday and celebrate Friday rather than fasting next Friday. Some of us may fast Monday and Tuesday next week given family reunions on Wednesday as well. However the Spirit leads you, plan ahead, fast with a joyful heart … and change history.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

2) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf one hundredfold.

3) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

Would you like to learn more about fasting?

We maintain a repository of ideas and information we have learned over the last decade while fasting weekly for America. From scientific studies on the benefits of fasting, to the differences between intermittent dieting vs intermittent fasting, to scriptural references regarding the power of fasting to the history of first century Christians who stated believers are obligated to fast weekly, we hope you will find numerous insights with our free resource located here.

Together let us also implore Heaven while fasting for intentions you have highlighted:

4) For Mike Lindell who is putting himself on the front lines suing over the election fraud that has taken place and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior,  protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing with an understanding of what the Lord wants, courage and the desire to preach what He would have them preach and protection and strength from all evil that comes against them.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.
