Thank you again to everyone who participated with us last week on our Esther Fast leading up to Pentecost Sunday. We believe the world has changed since your effort. Most people alive 2,000 years ago didn’t realize the world had changed the day Christ was born in Bethlehem – but it had.

The Spirit has descended upon America and eyes are opening. Know also that as the intensity of our three-day fast fades from our memories, Heaven’s memory of your sacrifice will not fade. The Father’s joy over your effort will be as fresh in 10,000 years as it was at the first moment, and the honor bestowed on you for making the effort to change history will be eternal.

Today we return to our regular fasting cadence – Wednesday and Friday as 1^st century Christians fasted.

But how easy does bread and water fasting seem now after the intensity of fasting as Esther did? And we can use a little butter? And olive oil? Our sacrifice is so small, but the rewards are so big.

Thank you for stepping up and filling in with your regular fasting when clergy refuses to lead the church to regular fasting. Evil may have numbed those consecrated to lead us to our obligations and opportunity, but it has not squelched the flame of renewal that you carry.

And while we would say this is not the only major news that will come from our fast last week, there was a story reminiscent of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that broke – and not coincidentally, the first day after Pentecost.

Five pitchers, all from the Tampa Bay Rays, stood up to the team owner and to pressure from professional sports rejecting homosexual symbols from their uniforms.  The five pitchers, Jason Adam, Jalen Beeks, Brooks Raley, Jeffrey Springs, and Ryan Thompson who would not wear the satanic symbols on their uniforms. They cited that they would not endorse behavior that is contrary to their Christian faith.

How many eyes of our youth will be opened by this one stand? How many others will be encouraged based on their witness?

Let us praise God as we fast today – The Spirit is awash on our shores America. Thank you for fasting with us today.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.

7) For young Megan who has an incurable liver condition @ Duke Hospital - Asking the Divine Physician for a complete healing.
