Following up on our theme of science proving the existence of God, let us note an extraordinary discovery at Northwestern University in 2016. As scientists were performing in vitro fertilizations in a petri dish, they were able to capture by a special microscope flashes of light (attributed to release of zinc) at the very moment of conception. Our readers will remember their basic biology which teaches that while millions of sperm travel to meet the egg, only ONE will burrow its head into the outer layer of the egg to be able to entwine its DNA with the DNA of the egg. No one knows how that one sperm is selected and by what means. However, when it does enter the outer layer, the layer is completely closed for any other sperm to enter. Science Captures Light At The Moment of Conception!

As believers know, in the beginning, God said, "Let there be light, and there was light." So, there was light at the beginning of all of creation, and there is light at the beginning of the creation of each unique human being. The tragedy of this discovery is that most modern atheistic scientists do not respect that each unique unrepeatable human being is imbued with an eternal soul, willed from time eternal by an all-loving God. Many of these fertilized embryos are discarded if they are not to be used. 

Dear readers, our own conception is such an incredible miracle that we should be wandering around in bewilderment. As Lewis Thomas said, "Statistically, the probability of any of us being here is so small that you'd think that mere fact of existing would keep us all in a dazzlement of surprise."

Whatever the manner of our conception, whether in love, accident, or even violence, God willed us into eternity with Him and wants us to live with Him forever in Heaven.

For our own marvelous and miraculous conception, we can praise God at the beginning of our prayers tomorrow as we begin our fasting day. May God bless you for your fasting efforts!

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.
