This week we received a report from a young mother and wanted to share her inspiring and wonderful story with you…

“Our daughter Dani has one leg longer than the other which causes her lower back discomfort.  

The discrepancy was big enough that her doctors decided it was best to address the issue.  They told us there were two different approaches to correct her leg length discrepancy, one is to stop the growth of the leg that is longer by placing plates inside her knee, waiting for the other leg to catch up and once both legs were similar in length the plate would be surgically removed.  This surgery they explained is less invasive than the second option which is to wait until she stops growing and pull her short leg for it to become longer.  This method would include a surgery to put in place a mechanism in her knee so that with a magnet from the outside the leg is slowly made longer.  The doctors explained that this method was very invasive but more accurate than the first option.

Not wanting any of the options given by her doctors, we continued praying for her healing.

On October 14^th I took her to get the final x-rays she needed to move forward with the surgery.  A week after, on the morning October 21^st, a colleague and I prayed for Dani’s healing.

Later that same day, I received a call from her doctors saying that there was confusing information because the x-ray that was taken a week prior only showed a leg discrepancy of 13 millimeters which is not something that needs to be treated.

Her previous x-rays showed a leg discrepancy of 26 millimeters which is something they would treat.  The doctors were confused and didn’t know what had happened.

We believe what science can’t explain - Thanks be to Jesus, her leg discrepancy is no longer an issue that needs to be addressed.

Allow me to share one other interesting event surrounding our daughter:

On Dani’s way to school she fell off her bike.  A man saw what had happened and helped her up, then walked her bike to school and accompanied Dani to the school office to make sure she was ok and that her parents were notified.

In gratitude for what this man had done for her, Dani prayed every night for him.   We found out recently that the man who helped Dani is in desperate need of prayers.  Dani now prays for him more intensely,  every day during mass and before going to bed. She offers up any pain or discomfort she may feel for the salvation of his soul. Dani now sees the blessing behind her accident and feels that her cuts and scrapes are nothing compared to the salvation of a soul.

I didn’t want to go to bed without putting in writing what the Lord has so graciously done for us recently.”

… What an example this 11-year old is for all of us! Scripture tells us that we will get what our faith expects from the Lord. satan stalks believers to discourage them from expecting great things from God while our generous Lord awaits to bestow his blessings on us.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing with an understanding of what the Lord wants, courage and the desire to preach what He would have them preach and protection and strength from all evil that comes against them. 

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.

7) For young Megan who has an incurable liver condition @ Duke Hospital - Asking the Divine Physician for a complete healing.
