St. Francis Rebuild My Church

"You are [easily] deceived, because you don't know the scriptures or the power of God."

"[Evil] comes to steal and kill and destroy."                                            -  John 10:10

Today we recall the words our Lord spoke 800 years ago to Francis of Assissi:

Rebuild my church

God’s Church was in decay, wrecked by the corruption of the clergy leading to a lack of zeal among Christians.

If those were His words to Francis in the 12th century, what would He say to us today in light of current church scandals and indifference among believers? Perhaps His call would be even more urgent:

Rescue my church

If we are to take back our country as all patriots so ardently desire to do, to renew America as the Christian republic it was founded to be, we must reclaim, rebuild, and rescue the church so that we will have God‘s mercy and favor in all areas of life.

The prescription to do this? Unchanged from scripture when we see God's people again and again fall into sin.

1)  Repent. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide us to what we need to turn from in order to be more pleasing to Him, to stop offending Him.

2) Pray each day. Think of Jesus' words in the Garden of Gethsemane "Can you not watch one hour with me“ as the minimum daily.  We continue to suggest praying between 3 to 6 AM, the fourth watch, Jesus' favorite time to pray, when the Holy Spirit likes to speak most.

3) Fast weekly. Christians are in denial of our obligation to fast weekly.  If your pastor wants to play lawyer and deny we have that obligation then join us out of generosity and fast on Wednesdays and Fridays. Jesus showed us fasting is the only way to overcome evil when it is strong like it is today.

Beyond our daily and weekly tasks to restore the church and country, strategically let us submit to you that how you spend your charity – your time, your money and your effort are critical.

It was not a lack of forethought that led Jesus to not feed the hungry, to not house anyone, or to skip any of the other social agendas our bishops proudly champion alongside Democrats.

To the squeals of democrats, the only cause Jesus deemed worth dying for is evangelization.

Notice He didn’t send out His apostles to build homes and by that example preach the word.

He sent out His apostles specifically to evangelize, and working worldly believers tithed to support the evangelization.

He died so that everyone could have eternal life and He specifically tasked his followers to evangelize to this end. And to those who did not actually preach but worked in the world, He tasked them with a specific duty: Support the evangelization…

Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him,2and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Mag'dalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, 3and Joan'na, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.
- Luke 8:1-3

Who is evangelizing to your children?  We have an 80+% dropout rate of youth participation. It is an epidemic, a red alert issue for you.

Who is evangelizing to your grandchildren?

To your nieces and nephews?

To your cousins and siblings?

If you practice in the Catholic church, the answer is certainly not the church. Your youth will emerge from K-12, 16 years of Catholic education, without knowing their faith and without knowing Jesus – that is not a coincidence. It is a well executed design by evil through our bishops. The laity must lead the evangelization – the church will not.

With your energy, your money and your time, your charity should be the only charity Jesus thought worth dying for.

Don’t let your bishops lie to you – we are not all called to different charities – we are tasked to evangelize.

The hatred of liberals for this message should lead you to know beyond a shadow of a doubt this is truth.  Feed an illegal immigrant and you will get a medal of honor. Tell American youth about Jesus and you are dangerous.

It is critical to understand that it is up to us to support our own nation as St Thomas Aquinas taught before our support goes to other nations, to support those who lost so much for us such as military widows and orphans and to help our youth in our back yard.

Recall the scorching words of St. Paul who not only issued the true love command “work or starve” but who said:

if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.
- 1 Tim. 5:8 KJ21, KJV, Douay Rheims

What is the most important way to care for your own household and for the households of those who live in your town? Evangelize.

Pray to the Holy Spirit asking Him to guide you on how you are to evangelize with your money, your time and your effort.

Thank you for fasting with us today – You are rescuing and rebuilding the church and our beloved country. You’ll be glad you made the effort for all of eternity.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

Would you like to learn more about fasting?

We maintain a repository of ideas and information we have learned over the last decade while fasting weekly for America. From scientific studies on the benefits of fasting, to the differences between intermittent dieting vs intermittent fasting, to scriptural references regarding the power of fasting to the history of first century Christians who stated believers are obligated to fast weekly, we hope you will find numerous insights with our free resource located here.

Together let us also implore Heaven while fasting for intentions you have highlighted:

4) For all patriots who put themselves on the front lines in combatting evil and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior,  protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
