Yesterday was the day Catholics celebrated the death of the mother of Jesus.

Catholics and some other faiths believe Mary was then taken body and soul into heaven at the end of her days here.

But as it is not in scripture, most of our dear Protestant brothers conclude such a belief is without merit.

As believers we all must concede however, with the biblical account of Elijah being taken body and soul into heaven - there is precedent in scripture for such an event as the assumption of Mary into heaven, rewarding her in a special way for her unique role in our salvation history.

We do not aspire to resolve this issue in the minds of the 50,000 churches that have splintered since Martin Luther.  Our reason for bringing it up is to hold out the potentially special blessing this occasion offers you in your life today.

Consider the signs and wonders that have surrounded both Elijah and Mary during their lives, two figures alleged to have been assumed into heaven. Interestingly unlike almost any other figures from Scripture, signs and wonders continued to surround them both after their deaths.

Through Elijah’s faith, the fire reigned down and destroyed pagan worship. And in the case of Mary - where do you begin recounting the signs and wonders of this virgin who gave birth and upon whose faith the water turned to wine?  Like Elijah, Mary did not perform the miracles, but like Elijah, Mary was the instrument of His signs and wonders.  She was instrumental in ushering in the era of miracles in the New Testament at Cana.

Recall that, after Elijah‘s assumption into heaven, at least three believers, subsequently saw Elijah appear to them at the Transfiguration. It was a similar pattern to what God chose with Moses - as the Jews wandered in the desert, Moses saw God, but no one else did. Moses was chosen to glimpse beyond the veil of mortality for what today is often referred to as an apparition. Peter, James and John saw Elijah and Moses, both dead for centuries, in their “apparition”. The other nine apostles and countless followers – did not see anything. Similarly Saul saw the light of heaven, but those with Saul saw nothing.

God has consistently chosen to reveal himself in dramatic ways to a select few while most believers see nothing.

What of the signs and wonders since Mary‘s death?

Let us be fair and let us seek the truth.

We submit to you that with the possible exception of signs and wonders surrounding the Eucharist, since the Bible has been written, the greatest signs and wonders have all revolved around this woman, Mary. She who was given to us at the foot of the cross and the signs surrounding her reported visits to encourage believers.

Do you think the signs and wonders around her visits are a coincidence? If you love God, you are obligated to look into these phenomena that have surrounded her because of the implications of her messages in light of the unmatched revival that has sprung up where she has visited.

What other signs and wonders than those that have surrounded Mary’s phenomena can you point to that to this day baffle science such as Guadalupe, Fatima, Las Lajas, Lourdes and now, Medjugorje? In three of those cases, to this day you can see with your own eyes manifestations of the supernatural that occurred centuries ago and that today science still cannot explain.

And so we would like to begin a series of reflections on Signs & Wonders that we hope will be informative to you and those you may know who are searching for the Lord.

Yesterday’s feast regarding the death of Mary is a celebration of prayer finally answered.

For twenty years Mary had longed to be called to heaven to be reunited with her Son… twenty years of seemingly unanswered prayer.

Can you relate to the feeling that your prayers have not been meritorious in areas of your life as you had intended?

May the example of Mary encourage you and may the blessings of this occasion flow through to you and unlock blessings upon you that have seemed stuck in heaven for years.

We pray as a company daily - praying for miraculous blessings to flow to you at this holy time to encourage you and uplift you.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing. 

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
