"In prayer you shall perceive ... the way out of every situation that has no exit."

"Do novenas of fasting and renunciation so that satan be far from you and grace be around you"                                                                                                             -  Medjugorje July 25, 2005

Thanks to those who reached out regarding the Northern Lights photo of the angel in the skies. Richard who sent it in, relayed the photo was taken over Sweden and while we do not know the exact date, we understand if transpired after Christmas Day. This timing seems noteworthy in light of the extraordinary Christmas Day message that grace is now flowing across the world.

Also following up on our reminder from Wednesday, let us clarify a distinction that should be understood by all believers. Judging someone as an individual who will go to hell is something that belongs solely to the Lord. We do not have any domain in in that realm and indeed the Lord may judge our sins as more grievous than those whose sins are apparent to us. Only He knows who the select will be and scripture is clear that many more will expect to enter heaven than will actually enter.

But as it relates to convicting (as opposed to condemning) another person for their behavior when it is clearly contrary to the commandments, spiritual convictions are something that are expected of all of us.  In certain circumstances it is our obligation:

“Whoever says to the guilty, You are innocent, will be cursed... 25 But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessing will come on them.”

Proverbs 24:24-25

The New Testament is even more granular about our obligation to convict even to the point that we will judge the Angels:

If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!4 - 1 Cor 6

Whenever scripture may at first glance appear to contradict itself, simply look for clarity in the description that is not ambiguous. From the time of the Garden of Eden evil has used its knowledge of God to create ambiguity in God’s word, then layer on human guilt under the false pretense of love (it is not love) obfuscating what scripture says clearly.

Case in point: Saint Paul's words, admonishing us not to help or feed those who won't work:

Work or starve – 2 Thess 3:10

So, if the Spirit has been whispering to you that someone you love needs to amend his behavior, don't immediately dismiss the thought as if it is not your responsibility.

Instead, step into the vacuum of Christian counsel in society today by asking the Spirit to keep the whisper upon you if it is from the Lord. Ask the Spirit to remove any thoughts about confronting such a believer if it is not from the Lord.

If you conclude the nudge is from the Holy Spirit, consider following the format we outlined on Wednesday, approaching the person with humility and love. It would be difficult for a rational person not to realize you're only intention was their benefit with such a framework. Evil will try to stir up anger and resentment, but love does not shrink from doing what is best.

And while we dread having such conversations, Heaven’s words that this moment is full of grace spreading throughout the world make this moment particularly opportune to have these conversations.

On New Year’s Day there were today’s equivalent of John the Baptists at the Rose Bowl Parade. One such evangelist carried a sign, that read:

‘ “Jesus loves me” is not the gospel.  ’

The witness reminded the crowds that the gospel Jesus, Paul, Peter and the apostles preached, is “repent”.

Another evangelist’s sign read:

‘ "Who am I to judge"? Sinners’ translation: leave me alone and let me offend God in peace.’

It seemed a striking rewind to biblical times: today’s theologians shun the gospel while someone who is viewed more like an outcast as John the Baptist likely was, speaks the word of the Lord.

The word of the Lord, the eternal word is, of course, the name of Jesus and this week one of the most studied Old Testament passages in the world was the following victory from 1 Sam 17. It is the immortal confrontation of the underdog David, versus the physical strength and military might of the giant Goliath. Here is the source David cited for his victory:

45 Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin; but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel,

To make sure that is not missed on anyone the next time you hear the expression, The Lord of hosts means The Lord of armies, the ultimate form of confrontation.

We pray for you - that like David in the mighty name of Jesus, you will slay any evil that confronts you in life and win over the hearts of those you speak with on behalf of the Lord just as David shockingly defeated goliath.

James 5:20 reads: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

Fasting with us today and each week for the renewal of our nation is leading sinners to the Lord in a most extraordinary way. You will enjoy great honor for all of eternity because of your effort.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

Would you like to learn more about fasting?

We maintain a repository of ideas and information we have learned over the last decade while fasting weekly for America. From scientific studies on the benefits of fasting, to the differences between intermittent dieting vs intermittent fasting, to scriptural references regarding the power of fasting to the history of first century Christians who stated believers are obligated to fast weekly, we hope you will find numerous insights with our free resource located here.

Together let us also implore Heaven while fasting for intentions you have highlighted:

4) For all patriots who put themselves on the front lines in combatting evil and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior,  protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
